What can we do to support those people up there in Queensland? We can give money by donation or by 'levy' and think constructively about them even if we can't pray. My thoughts are with them all - the elderly, families who are reassuring their kids, singles or anyone else who for whatever reason is alone and afraid. All of them need to know that we care and are here to help in any way that we can.
We can also tell Abbott to pull his head it. It's going to take Billions to fix the infrastructure while the charity appeals will go to those directly affected.
